OU/TX

I know I'm a little late as usual, but I wanted to share some pictures from last weekend when we crossed the Red River for the OU/TX game.

Josh had to stay behind for some work and school stuff so Rocky and I rode down to Dallas with my parents on Thursday then Josh met up with us Friday night. Rocky did so good in the truck. He loves getting in the car and going places. He tries to get in the car any chance he gets, so I knew he would be good.

We stayed with my sister and brother-in-law on Thursday night and celebrated my sister's birthday. I can't believe my little sister is 25! She is all grown up and married and I am just so proud of her!

Friday us girls went shopping while my dad, Billy, and the dogs went mountain biking and hiking.

Then we checked into our hotel and got ready for the night. This was Rocky and Brinkley's first time to stay in a hotel. It was so cute to watch them run around checking things out. They even jumped on the bed like typical kids.

Of course Rocky and Brinkley had to represent their team too!

Some of our friends stayed at the same hotel, so we all met up for some tailgating and then went to dinner.

We headed out Saturday morning for the Texas State Fair. It was sooo crowded with people decked out in their crimson and burnt orange. None of our family had tickets to the game. We just went in the fair for the festivities and watched the game on one of the big screens they had set up. And, I'm sure you've heard by now but......THE SOONERS WON!!!

We came back to the hotel after the game to celebrate the victory with some more tailgating!

We left bright and early Sunday morning. We had to get back to Oklahoma for a VERY important birthday!

Our sweet niece turned 10! That's right, the big one oh!!

The first birthday party I went to of hers, she was just turning 6! My how time flies!

Well, that's it my friends! We had such a great time with our family and friends as usual. But after we got back, we had some big decisions to make. After lots of thought and prayer, we decided that Josh should resign from his job. He is in his final two semesters of school and working 40+ hours while going to school full-time has just become too much to handle. I know if he really needed to, he could have kept doing it. But the fact is, he doesn't need to. We have figured out a way for him to quit and concentrate more on his schoolwork and that is what will make us most happy right now, so that is what we are doing. He already has a part-time job at a golf course (in fact he is working there all weekend), so things are looking good!

Other than that, we've just been hanging around the house getting some things done. I have the house all decorated for fall. I'm just loving sitting in the house with the windows open, my maple butter scentsy burning and enjoying my fall decor! I'll do a post of some pics of the fall decor soon. In the meantime....take care ya'll!
